To Grandmother's house we go

Over Conference weekend we took our first trip down to Tempe, Arizona to visit President and Sister Howes. We were so excited to go see them and get to spend time with them. We relaxed, talked, talked and talked, enjoyed conference, stole Cathi away for a little pampering, and celebrated Dean's birthday.

Even though they had about one million other things to be doing, they stopped everything just to spend time with us and play with Davis. It was as if nothing else mattered. Cathi would wake up with him every morning and take him on walks, play with him and just love him. Cathi and Davis have a very special bond, he just loves her and could not take his eyes off of her! Davis is so lucky to be so spoiled and loved by both his Grandma and Grandpa. It has been so hard not being able to see them and be with them all the time.

I feel so blessed to have such incredible people to look up to and follow in there footsteps.
They are doing an amazing job in the mission field. It is literally a 24/7 job, that never ends. We loved being able to see them handle everything, and also make us feel so welcome and loved too. We miss them and are counting the days until we get to see them again.

Davis was loving his make shift "pool" outside
Feeding the nocturnal ducks, I love these boys

I know exactly what you mean! When we went to visit my parents in Baltimore over the summer it seemed like their cell phones were constantly ringing. I'm glad you got to go visit!
